Terms and Conditions of Attendance and Participation
7th Annual Meeting of Serbian Neurosurgical Society with international participation – Vita brevis, ars longa: Refining the art of neurosurgery.
These terms and conditions govern attendance and participation in the 7th Annual Meeting of Serbian Neurosurgical Society with international participation – Vita brevis, ars longa: Refining the art of neurosurgery (Event furtheron) organized by Serbian Neurosurgical Society (Organizer furtheron), to be held online from November 24th to 25th, 2021.
By registering for the Event attendees and participants accept these Terms and Conditions (T&C furtheron) and agree to the same in full and unconditionally, forming a binding legal contract between Organizer and the registered attendee or participant.
Those registering on behalf of another individual, are responsible to ensure the person attending or participating is aware of the T&C and agrees and accepts them.

1.1 Registration of persons desiring to become participants in the Event should be done online by using the Event website/platform. The registration for this Event is free, but mandatory.
1.2 Only participants who complete their registration will be able to participate in the scientific program of the Event.
1.3 All registered Event participants will be e-mailed confirmations.
2.1 Admittance – Registration entitles to admittance to the Event platform
2.2 Event Content – Participants acknowledge and agree that the Organizer, in their sole discretion, reserve the right to change any and all aspects of the Event, including but not limited to, the Event title, themes, content, program, speakers, moderators, venue and time.
3.1 All intellectual property rights in and to the Event and the Event content including the Event website, material published on the Event website and all materials distributed at, or in connection to the Event are owned by the Organizer and/or its affiliates or the Event participants, sponsors or speakers presenting at the Event who ceded copyrights irrevocably and exclusively to the Organiser. All such rights – including in particular the right to use, reproduce, represent, publish, adapt, translate and distribute, in any country, in any language, in any form and on any kind of support, including on electronic means or the Internet, and for the entire period of copyright protection - are reserved. Any use of such Event content for any reason is not allowed without a prior written permission of the Organizer. Participants may not use or reproduce, or allow anyone to use or reproduce, any of the Organizer’s trademarks, trade names appearing at the Event, in any Event content, or in any materials distributed at or in connection to the Event, for any reason without the prior written permission of the Organizer.
3.2 For the avoidance of doubt, nothing in the T&C shall be deemed to vest in participants any legal or beneficial right in or to any trademarks or other intellectual property rights owned or used under license by the Organizer or any of its affiliates. Nor does the T&C grant participants any right or license to any other intellectual property rights of the Organizer or its affiliates, including the Event participants, all of which shall at all times remain the exclusive property of the Organizer and its affiliates.
4.1 Limitations on Use – Participants agree that they will not reproduce, republish, distribute, transmit, display, broadcast or otherwise exploit in any manner any and whatsoever data, information, knowledge of technique, know-how transferred and made available to participants at the Event, in any form and/or media, including but not limited to those available as online content of the Event website (including but not limited to access to online scripts, chat rooms, etc.).
4.2 Participants accept and acknowledge that they may use said material for personal and non-commercial use only, without altering or removing any trademark, copyright or other notice from such material.
4.3 Disruptive Conduct – Participants acknowledge and agree that the Organizer reserves the right to remove individual participant from the Event if the Organizer, in its sole discretion, determines that their presence or behaviour has created a disruption or hindered the Event or the enjoyment of the Event by other participants.
5.2 The method of collecting and using data - During participants’ visit of the Event or other related websites, their personal information may be collected, which is necessary to set up their accounts, for the purpose of delivering required services. Participants’ personal information is used solely to be able to provide participants with the services desired, to meet their requirements or to tailor offers, i.e. to personalize it, to improve the work of the website, ensure administrative checks, establish contact with participants, improve advertising and promotional results and generally improve offer of services, as well as for the purpose of cooperation with law enforcement institutions.
5.5 Organizer undertakes to take reasonable steps to ensure reliability of its staff having access to the personal data of participants and to ensure their commitment to confidentiality or their compliance to appropriate statutory obligation of confidentiality.
5.6 Cookies - A cookie is information stored on users’ computers by websites they visit. Cookies typically store user settings, settings for a website, such as a preferred language or address. Later, when users open the same website again, the Internet browser sends back the cookies that belong to that page. This allows the page to recognize and display information tailored to user’s particular needs. If a user does not want the Event or related websites to have access to user cookies, the user can block them as most web browsers allow users to block cookies by setting up their web browser.
6.1 A certificate of attendance will be issued to all participants depending on their time spent at the Event.
6.2 The Event Organizer will submit the application for the accreditation by the European Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (EACCME®). Each participant will claim only those hours of credit which he/she actually spent in the Event educational activities.
7.1 In the event that one or more provisions of the T&C are no longer effective and applicable for any reason, this shall not affect the other provisions of the T&C, which shall remain in effect as though the provision no longer effective and applicable never existed as its integral part.
7.2 For everything not regulated by the T&C, the relevant legal regulations in effect for the territory in which the Organizer is located shall apply.
7.3 All disputes arising from the T&C shall be resolved amicably, in writing. If an agreement cannot be reached in this manner the dispute shall be dealt with by the competent court in Belgrade, Serbia and shall be subject to Serbian law.
